Marisol Guerra-Garza, MS, LPC
Marisol is a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor. Born and raised in the RGV, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley. Marisol then went on to receive her Master’s in Guidance and Counseling at Texas A&M University – Kingsville. Throughout her internship, Marisol has had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings including a children’s residential treatment facility, a private practice, and a psychiatric hospital.
Marisol uses an approach that combines cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused and positive psychology.
Her experience includes providing counseling to children/adolescents, individuals, couples, and families. She strives in providing a safe and comfortable space for individuals to express their emotions and process their issues and believes in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, as everyone has their story to tell.
