Edward A. Odom, PsyD
Licensed Psychologist | Forensic & Clinical Mental Health Specialist
Dr. Edward Odom is a Licensed Psychologist with advanced training in forensic and clinical mental health services for youth and justice-involved populations. He earned his Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Health Service Psychology from the University of Houston–Clear Lake, where he also completed master’s and undergraduate degrees with academic distinction.
Dr. Odom currently serves as a Clinical Mental Health Professional and Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow at Travis County Juvenile Probation Department. His work focuses on treatment and psychological evaluation of adolescents within the juvenile justice system, with specialization in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychological testing, and program development. He also serves as project manager for the department’s mental health court initiative, COPE.
Throughout his clinical career, Dr. Odom has held placements in inpatient psychiatry, forensic evaluations, community mental health, and academic instruction. His research background includes published work on diabetes self-management in veterans and the use of natural language processing in healthcare. Beyond clinical and academic contributions, Dr. Odom co-founded the nonprofit What It’s Like Project, dedicated to reducing mental health stigma through community engagement and art.
