Project Description

Ashley is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Howard Payne University and her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University. Throughout her internship, Ashley has had the opportunities to work in a variety of settings from a group home for special needs individuals to community mental health clinics. Ashley has gained a great amount of experience working with children of all ages diagnosed with mental health disorders and their families, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety and depression, self esteem, ADHD, and parent-child relationship problems.

Ashley’s therapeutic approach respects the role and the freedom of the individual to choose their own goals and dictate the direction of their treatment. She believes in providing a safe haven for individuals to be who they really are and share their stories without fear of being judged. She also desires to provide a place where growth and permanent change can take place. Ashley also believes that challenges do not have to define or incapacitate an individual. Rather, they can be a catalyst for growth and change in ways that we do not expect.
