I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate originally from Edcouch-Elsa, Texas, and now proud to call McAllen home. As someone deeply connected to the Rio Grande Valley, I approach my work with cultural humility, warmth, and a deep respect for the diverse experiences of my clients.
I earned both my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. My professional journey has focused on supporting individuals through challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, and trauma. I provide services in both English and Spanish, striving to make therapy accessible and inclusive for the communities I serve.
My therapeutic style is grounded in person-centered care and evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-informed strategies, and strengths-based approaches. I believe in creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to create meaningful change.
Outside of the therapy space, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, exploring new places, and relaxing outdoors. I’m also the proud pet parent of my sweet companion, Ava, who never fails to bring a little extra joy to my life.
I am currently under the supervision of Amanda Hood, LPC-S, as I continue to grow in my clinical practice and deepen my work with clients.
