Kelsi Thornton, MA, LPC Associate
Counseling Intern | Youth & Trauma-Focused Care
Kelsi Thornton is a compassionate and culturally responsive counselor-in-training pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. With a strong academic foundation—holding a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University and a BA in Psychology from Texas State—Kelsi brings both heart and skill to her work with children, adolescents, and young adults.
Her clinical experience spans school-based trauma-informed care, career mentorship for youth, and residential counseling. She is well-versed in therapeutic techniques including play and art therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, and de-escalation strategies. Kelsi is especially passionate about helping clients build emotional resilience through safety, empathy, and individualized care.
Currently completing her internship with Communities In Schools of Central Texas, Kelsi supports clients through psychosocial assessments, positive behavioral interventions, and personalized service planning. She is committed to providing high-quality, inclusive mental health care that honors each client’s unique story.
