Dr. Maria R. Perez PhD.
I am a native of Texas and obtained my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Throughout my training, I have worked with a diverse population of individuals in different settings around Texas, consisting of San Antonio State Hospital, Adolescent Treatment Centers, Nursing Homes, Schools, and Outpatient settings. I have extensive training working with children, adolescents, behavior modification, parenting strategies, anxiety, mood disorders, and depression. In addition, I have a wide range education in psychological testing in the following areas: Autism, Learning Disabilities, Anxiety, Depression, Personality Disorder, and Mood Disorder.
My therapeutic approach is cognitive behavioral therapy and patient centered therapy. My beliefs in therapy are that all clients feel a sense of welcoming and safety. Therapy can be difficult for many. By working together, we can establish a setting surrounded by support and non-judgment.
