Shirley “Shan” Oliver, LPC-S
As a seasoned Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and dedicated advocate for mental health and personal growth, I warmly welcome you to explore a therapeutic journey that is centered entirely around you. I obtained my Master’s degree from the University of Houston Clear Lake in Counseling.
I adhere to the principles of person-centered therapy, a humanistic approach that places you, the client, at the heart of the therapeutic process. I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences freely. Together, we will collaborate in identifying your goals and working towards meaningful, sustainable change.
I work with adults and families. I have a background in CBT/DBT, EMDR and Internal Family Systems. I have experience in treating Trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
As an LPC-S, I am not only dedicated to providing compassionate and effective therapy but also to nurturing the growth and development of future counselors. I supervise and mentor aspiring therapists, ensuring they uphold the highest standards of ethical practice and client care.
Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting, but I am here to support you every step of the way. Whether you’re seeking individual therapy, couples counseling, or supervision as a counselor-in-training, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing. If you are interested in joining our team, visit our career page.
