Erica D. Dolan, PhD, LPC, NCC
Dr. Dolan has been in practice since 2008 and has worked extensively with individuals, couples, and children/adolescents. Her approach to therapy is to meet each client where they are, in a welcoming and non-judgmental approach. She understands that finding relief and understanding is a priority and utilizes evidence-based approaches to guide clients toward progress. Dr. Dolan tends to blend an evidence-based approach with a client-centered approach to create a productive and safe therapy environment. She has experience utilizing a variety of treatment modalities in therapy, including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. However, since each person has different needs, she works along with her clients to learn their needs and tailors approaches to help them reach their goals.
Dr. Dolan enjoys working with a variety of different populations, some of which include high-functioning Cover-controlled”) clients who find themselves presenting “perfectly” on the outside but feeling overwhelmed internally. Additionally, she enjoys working with clients who feel “stuck” or are struggling with confidence and self-esteem, especially during young adulthood or after a significant life transition. She also enjoys working with clients who may be skeptical/apprehensive/nervous about therapy.
In her free time, Dr. Dolan enjoys spending time with others, fishing, hiking, playing disk golf, traveling, community volunteering, live music events, attending festivals, live theatre, attending sporting events, cooking/baking, and exploring new restaurants.
