Stephanie McGill, M.A., LPC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 8 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with depression and anxiety, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, & coping with grief and loss. I also have experience working with kids and adolescents around behavioral issues and poor self-esteem. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I meet my clients where they are and will tailor our work together based on my clients’ unique needs.
My approach as a therapist is to meet my clients where they are and work with them on their specific needs to help them realize their dreams and improve their mental health. I believe in treating each client with respect, kindness, and compassion and helping them to hopefully understand they are not alone in the world.
My personal beliefs are that all people deserve to be happy and know peace in their lives no matter what they are dealing with. I believe that opening up to someone and talking about your feelings can truly lift weight off and help someone get perspective they never had before. Family and good friends are the most important things in life and sometimes, those two things aren’t mutually exclusive. I believe that it doesn’t matter who you love, what religion you are or political views you have. I also believe that people should be who they want to be, and no one has the right to judge. Judgement and hatred only hurt the person feeling it.
