Responding to Community Violence

June 10, 2022 by Ashley Bono LPC, LMFT

May 24th, 2022 many children woke up to go to school and learn just like any normal day. They put on their backpacks, grabbed their lunch boxes, and headed out the door to the bus stop or out to the car for their parents to drop them off. For nineteen children and two teachers […]

Setting Boundaries with Your Children

May 26, 2022 by Ashley Bono LPC, LMFT

I’m sure that we’ve all heard of the term “boundaries” at some point in time. Boundaries are simply limits that we set for ourselves in terms of how we behave or how we want other people to treat us. Many people may feel that boundaries are restrictive in nature, but in reality, they are […]

Control versus Responsibility

May 26, 2022 by Ashley Bono LPC, LMFT

When you think of the word control, what do you get? Power? Strength? A feeling of thinking that things are the way they should be? Let’s face it, we all like to be in charge and in control at all times. COVID-19 brought out our desire for complete control to the point where we […]

Coping Skills for Parents: Showing Love and Kindness to Yourself

April 8, 2022 by Ashley Bono LPC, LMFT

As a child therapist, I hear a common theme from parents is that they tend to talk down to themselves for their parenting, especially when their child has a diagnosis of some kind or is the victim of a trauma. Many times parents can tend to blame themselves for anything bad happening to their child, […]

When to seek out Therapy for Your Child

April 7, 2022 by Ashley Bono LPC, LMFT

Over the past few years, we’ve seen an increase in mental health problems among our children and adolescents. In the last two years, we’ve experienced a global pandemic, an increase in political and social unrest in our country, economic problems, and now worldwide conflicts. With this increase in problems that are hitting very close to […]

Creating a Hopeful Spirit

March 31, 2022 by Ashley Bono LPC, LMFT

I think we can all agree that our world is full of negativity. All we have to do is turn on the television, tap on our social media apps on our phones, or even look on the internet, and the negativity glares up at us with a poisonous gaze. With the world going through crisis […]

Happy Women’s History Month!

March 28, 2022 by Jana Wesson-Martin

Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture, and society and has been observed annually in the month of March in the United States since1987.  International Women’sDay was named in 1909 when women did not have the right to vote. A group of activists, the suffragists, fought for women’s right to vote. Bringing to light the […]

Teaching Your Kids Responsibility:

March 10, 2022 by Ashley Bono LPC, LMFT

Responsibility. That word is now known for sending chills up and down everyone’s spines instead of inspiring independence and confidence. How come? Because responsibility means being willing to own up to our mistakes as well as focus on taking charge of the things that we need to take charge of. If we are being honest, […]

Suicide Prevention for Veterans: How do we protect our Nation’s Heroes?

December 3, 2021 by Ashley Bono LPC, LMFT

I’d like to start this blog post with a question for all of us to ponder. Have you ever met someone who has been touched by suicide or has thought of suicide? I think the answer would be more to the affirmative than most of us would like to admit. Many of us have been […]

Walking in the Texas Hill Country

October 15, 2021 by Jana Wesson-Martin

The Texas Hill Country weather is so super nice in the fall and spring. There are months and months around here when pleasant temperatures allow us to spend time in the beautiful outdoors. The correlation with good mental health and getting out in nature has become common knowledge. There is a large volume of literature that […]

I love this place. Office is super helpful for scheduling and payments. I do all my appointments online. My counselor Raymund Begaye is always professional and helpful, and offers different therapies including talk therapy and EMDR. Counseling with Ray has improved my quality of life and ability to handle, and enjoy (!), my life.

I have dealt with 2 therapists in the past, and I can tell you from experience that Raymund Begaye is world class. He has all the wisdom, grace and savvy of Hannibal Lector without the cannibalistic tendencies. Always selfless, supportive, and non judgemental, meeting Raymund has been a huge blessing in my life. I know from the bottom of my heart that he got into this business because he cares about people and the human element. He also thinks outside of the box. His knowledge and ability to conduct EMDR sessions have been pure gold. I was skeptical at first about EMDR, but after several sessions with Raymund I can honestly say past traumatic experiences that have kept me in a state of bondage, are not as intense as they once were. Raymund is a true American hero in many ways. He saved many lives fighting for our great country, and he continues to save lives by providing hope to the hopeless.

I've been seeing Ray for over 3 years now. He has helped me work through so much of my trauma. We started with talk therapy and it was a big help. As we opened up through my past traumas, we utilized the EMDR therapy, and let me tell you, it works wonders. I'm not sure of the exact science behind why EMDR works but I promise it does. I've come along way from the start of my therapy journey. Ray is very patient, understanding, and even when you think he doesn't get it, he does. He's always been very reassuring and has let me ease into dealing with my past. I think I found my therapist for life because before him, I had gone through several therapists that never made me feel like I'm being heard. I would recommend the EMDR therapy to anyone. Thanks InMindOut for employing such a wonderful therapist. Please don't let him go anywhere lol.

My therapist has been Ray B since fall of 2021. I was diagnosed with PTSD after the death of my husband. We were together 24 years and have a son. I know I'm alive today thanks to God and Ray. His techniques, patience, experience, care, effort, ideas and many more I can't think of, have been amazing. Ray is a blessing in my life.
