According to their findings, suicide mortality rates have increased 33% amongst all ages ranging from 10 to 74 in males and females (H. Hedegaard, A. Curtin, & M. Warner, 2018)  Being aware of […]

November 6, 2023 by Rubi Lopez LPC

How much have you lost and blamed anger? Have you been around others who tell you that you are not the same person when you are angry? You are not alone. A lot of individuals struggle with anger.   Let’s begin by understanding what anger is. Anger is “an emotional state that varies in intensity from […]

Let’s Welcome our Next Guest

November 6, 2023 by Jocellyne Guerra, LMFT

…Suicide Suicide. It is a seven-letter word that can bring an array of emotions depending on the person and context. For some it can be a familiar word, but for others it can be scary territory. There may be questions of confusion, “Why am I thinking this way? I have everything.” There may be questions […]

Stitching the Pieces:

November 6, 2023 by Jocellyne Guerra, LMFT

Managing a Broken Heart Heartbreaks are tough. There is no easy way to “get over them.” There is no amount of “time” that can pass that will make it easier. Heartbreaks are a form of grief, although someone did not necessarily pass away, you lost someone who at one point you thought would be in […]

What to do if Your Child Expresses Suicidal Thoughts

November 6, 2023 by Jocellyne Guerra, LMFT

It’s okay to be scared. Hearing your child express that they want to die is tough and at the same time can be confusing for parents. Be mindful of how you react and what you say. Be direct. Ask straightforward questions. No this isn’t going to put ideas in their head. Be okay with feeling […]

My Kid Just Came Out as Transgender

November 6, 2023 by Jocellyne Guerra, LMFT

It can be challenging for parents to know what to do after their child comes out as transgender. There can be a rollercoaster of emotions happening. Confusion about what this means, fear about their safety, disappointment that they might have “failed” as a parent, sadness about “losing” their child, or feeling bad that they should […]

Learning to Say No

November 6, 2023 by Jocellyne Guerra, LMFT

Saying no can be one of the hardest things for people to do. People get accustomed to saying yes, because saying no feels impossible, because they do not want to make others feel bad, because they owe someone something, the list goes on. Other times you feel pressured into saying yes due to the person’s […]

The Comparison Trap: A Blog Post about Body Image

November 6, 2023 by Ashley Bono LPC, LMFT

Our world today is full of comparisons. We look on Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, or even just Google search and see thousands of images that are all different. This, unfortunately, opens up a door for a very negative cycle of comparing ourselves to each and every image that we see. We see the picture of a […]

Recognizing the Need for Self-Care Part II

November 6, 2023 by Angela Brown

How many times have you heard, “It’s not about how many times you fall, it’s about how many times you get back up”? But how did you learn to “get back up”? We are so supportive toward our loved ones when they are stressed but when it is time to support ourselves, rarely do we […]

I love this place. Office is super helpful for scheduling and payments. I do all my appointments online. My counselor Raymund Begaye is always professional and helpful, and offers different therapies including talk therapy and EMDR. Counseling with Ray has improved my quality of life and ability to handle, and enjoy (!), my life.

I have dealt with 2 therapists in the past, and I can tell you from experience that Raymund Begaye is world class. He has all the wisdom, grace and savvy of Hannibal Lector without the cannibalistic tendencies. Always selfless, supportive, and non judgemental, meeting Raymund has been a huge blessing in my life. I know from the bottom of my heart that he got into this business because he cares about people and the human element. He also thinks outside of the box. His knowledge and ability to conduct EMDR sessions have been pure gold. I was skeptical at first about EMDR, but after several sessions with Raymund I can honestly say past traumatic experiences that have kept me in a state of bondage, are not as intense as they once were. Raymund is a true American hero in many ways. He saved many lives fighting for our great country, and he continues to save lives by providing hope to the hopeless.

I've been seeing Ray for over 3 years now. He has helped me work through so much of my trauma. We started with talk therapy and it was a big help. As we opened up through my past traumas, we utilized the EMDR therapy, and let me tell you, it works wonders. I'm not sure of the exact science behind why EMDR works but I promise it does. I've come along way from the start of my therapy journey. Ray is very patient, understanding, and even when you think he doesn't get it, he does. He's always been very reassuring and has let me ease into dealing with my past. I think I found my therapist for life because before him, I had gone through several therapists that never made me feel like I'm being heard. I would recommend the EMDR therapy to anyone. Thanks InMindOut for employing such a wonderful therapist. Please don't let him go anywhere lol.

My therapist has been Ray B since fall of 2021. I was diagnosed with PTSD after the death of my husband. We were together 24 years and have a son. I know I'm alive today thanks to God and Ray. His techniques, patience, experience, care, effort, ideas and many more I can't think of, have been amazing. Ray is a blessing in my life.
